If you have any questions about your current coverage, call your insurer or insurance agent or broker.<\/p>\n<p class=\"lead\">Purchasing travel insurance is not required in order to purchase any other products or services offered by the Travel Retailer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What A Travel Retailer May Do:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Employees of a Travel Retailer may transact Travel Insurance on our behalf and under our direction, including:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Offering\/disseminating information on our behalf, including brochures, buyer guides, descriptions of coverage, and price;<\/li>\n<li>Referring specific coverage\/feature\/benefit questions to us;<\/li>\n<li>Disseminating\/processing applications for coverage, coverage selection forms, or other similar forms;<\/li>\n<li>Collecting premiums on our behalf;&nbsp;and<\/li>\n<li>Receiving\/recording information to share with us;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>What A Travel Retailer May Not Do:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Travel Retailer\u2019s employees:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>are not qualified or authorized to answer technical questions about the benefits, exclusions or conditions of any of the insurance offered by the Travel Retailer; or<\/li>\n<li>to evaluate the adequacy of a prospective insured\u2019s existing insurance coverage.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Definitions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>Travel Insurance<\/strong>\u201d means coverage for personal risks incidental to planned travel, including one or more of the following:<\/p>\n<p>Interruption or cancellation of a trip or event;<br \/>\nLoss of baggage or personal effects;<br \/>\nDamage to accommodations or rental vehicles; or<br \/>\nSickness, accident, disability, or death occurring during travel.<\/p>\n<p>The following are excluded from the definition of Travel Insurance: Major medical plans, which provide comprehensive medical protection for travelers on trips lasting 6 months or longer (e.g. working overseas, deployed military personnel, etc.). In some States, Damage waiver contracts that are part of a rental company\u2019s agreement. The phrase \u201cdamage waiver\u201d or \u201ccollision damage waiver\u201d cannot be used to describe travel insurance coverage, but the travel insurance contract may otherwise refer to \u201cdamage waiver\u201d or \u201ccollision damage waiver\u201d provided by a rental company.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>We, Us or Our<\/strong>\u201d means Generali Global Assistance &amp; Insurance Services<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>DISCLOSURE TO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS: [1754(a)(7) &amp; (8)]<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Purchasing travel insurance is not required in order to purchase any other product or service offered by the travel retailer.<\/li>\n<li>Your travel retailer may not be licensed to sell insurance, and is therefore not qualified or authorized to:\n<ol type=\"a\">\n<li>Answer technical questions about the benefits, exclusions, and conditions of any of the insurance offered by the travel retailer.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate the adequacy of your existing insurance coverage.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This plan provides insurance coverage that only applies during the covered trip. You may wish to compare the terms of this policy with your existing life, health, home and automobile policies, and other sources of protection.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISCLOSURE TO NEW YORK RESIDENTS: [194 \u00a7 30.3(a)]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>New York Residents: Licensed producers represent the insurer(s) for the sale of the insurance. Generali Global Assistance &amp; Insurance Services is a program manager and may also act as a producer. Compensation paid to a producer will vary depending upon the policy purchased, the producer\u2019s expenses, volume of business, or profitability. Trip Mate, a Generali Global Assistance &amp; Insurance Services brand is compensated as the claim administrator for the insurer.
